The Evolution of Swimwear - AND Hermoza

The Evolution of Swimwear - AND Hermoza

So where did the idea for Hermoza swimwear ever originate?  It’s just another swimsuit, right?  Wrong!  Let’s go back a bit and look at the idea of swimsuits and their history.

Women enjoyed water and swimming for ages.  But you’d never know it back in the 1700’s.  They really covered up.  They were not even called swimsuits then, but bathing gowns.  In the 1800’s swimwear became fashionable, with matching trousers and hats.  Oh, we can’t forget the bloomers made of flannel.  After all, the womanly form needed to be covered up, otherwise it could be scandalous.

Finally, the 1900’s rolled around!  Lose the bloomers, boots and skirts.  Arms and legs became visible!  Hmm...  that had to be more comfortable for swimming considering the fact that there was less heavy fabric.

The body-hugging swimwear of the 1920’s and 40’s flattered the woman’s figure.  It was colorful and stylish.1946...BOOM the bikini; not necessarily flattering, but definitely revealing.

That’s where Hermoza comes in.  When you want something flattering, in a bikini world, your options are limited!  Hermoza provides flattering, elegant, styles, in colorful eye-catching fabric. Your options are NOT limited when you think Hermoza!

Hermoza focuses on offering classic, timeless silhouettes with high-quality materials designed to meet the needs of the modern woman. The result is a line of swimwear that is feminine, functional, chic, and well-crafted.

We believe in stunning, perfectly fitting swimsuits that enhance the confidence and dignity of every woman.
