Seychelles

Most islands’ claim to fame are their beaches, and this archipelago is no exception. But there is so much more to Seychelles than the sugar-white sands that trickle down to meet warm, aquamarine waters. Comprised of 115 islands, the Seychelles sit in the Indian Ocean off the coast of East Africa. These scenic islands have become some of the most sought-after destinations for a romantic getaway, like something straight off of a postcard. While many of these islands are uninhabited and protected, there is an abundance of adventure in this French-British republic. Allow us to guide you through this tropical paradise as you sketch it into your travel bucket list.

Packing and getting there

We choose our Betty Wrap Shirt and Joslyn Linen Pants in a summery and floral Ditsy print. This matching set is classy, versatile, and polished; a pick that you won’t believe you went so long without! Make a statement as you land in paradise with this breezy, perfect for the beach duo.

Where to stay
At Hermoza, we are no strangers to luxury. The best accommodation suggestion we can give would be the Four Seasons Resort Seychelles. Tucked into the hillside of Petite Anse Bay, you will experience a secluded romantic hideaway surrounded by lush jungle greenery and expansive, breathtaking views.

Spend your day lounging by your private pool in your Hannah One-Piece Swimsuit, our version of a demure, botanical dream. This piece’s elegance is underscored by its sophistication, with a gold dipped buckle and belt that matches the turquoise waters you are swimming in. Wear Hannah like a bodysuit with our Crissa Tennis Skirt for a sweet, floral look right where the sun has called you!

What to do
Naturally, the beaches are a highlight for this island nation. Many of the Seychelles shores are virtually untouched and therefore not very crowded. The country is particularly famous for its Anse Lazio beach on Praslin island where you will find native takamaka trees. What better to wear on this scenic nature stroll than our flowy Jamille Kaftan in Charcoal Silk? Lean into your inner goddess with this cascading, liquid silk layer that elevates everything from swimwear to denim. The Charcoal Orchid pattern is our abstract nod to lush florals in hues so delicate you’ll float along like a lavender dream.

Further from the beach is the Vallée de Mai Nature Preserve consisting of thick jungle and primitive plant and animal species that have remained deserted since the islands were first formed. On the main island of Mahé, you can visit the nation’s capital city of Victoria, home to fascinating architecture, outdoor markets, museums, and zesty nightlife. Victoria City, named after Queen Victoria, is the republic’s only business and cultural hub. Spend a day visiting the famed Botanical Garden, historical cathedrals, and many souvenir boutiques in your Asha Linen Dress in WhitePure and simple in it’s silhouette, this dress is our ode to effortless beauty – to ease, sophistication, and all things linen.

Like most islands, many of the local activities are in or near the water. Take some time to enjoy a discovery tour of the islands that include beach buggies, private boat rides, snorkeling, and meeting exotic marine life face to face. For the more adventurous, there is surfing, sailing, and scuba-diving, to name a few. Whatever water you find yourself in, don’t forget to bring along your favorite Hermoza suit and coverup!

After a full day in the sun, nothing beats finding the best local food and drinks to re-energize with. Although these islands are multicultural, cuisine in the Seychelles consists of traditional Creole food culture. If you are fond of seafood, you have come to the right place! The historic French and South African flair make dining here especially unique. To go along with your meals, try two of the Seychellois’ favorite drinks called Buka and Kalou. These beverages are made of fermented wine from coconut trees and sugar cane. Pair these sweet drinks with your Mari Dress in Blush, and you’ll be set for your night out. A versatile beach dress is a must have, and this one ticks all the boxes.

Besos,
